The bearing rotation flexibility is generally checked in the horizontal position. Usually the inner ring is fixed (or the inner ring is hand-held), and the outer ring is rotated by hand to check whether there is abnormal sound and blockage when the bearing rotates.
In general, the duration of the bearing rotation is long, the stop is slow, and the flexibility is good. On the contrary, the rotation time is short, the stop is sudden, and the flexibility is not good. Due to the different types and sizes of bearing structures, there should be different requirements for their rotational flexibility. For example, single row radial ball bearings, single row radial thrust ball bearings, because of the small contact area between the rolling element and the ferrule, these bearings are relatively light when rotating, while double row radial spherical bearings and thrust roller bearings, due to rolling The contact area between the body and the raceway is large, and the weight of the outer ring is small. When the rotation flexibility is checked, although a certain load is added, the brittleness is still less than that of the single row radial ball bearing.
For very large bearings, when they are rotated, there should be no jamming, and the sound of the rotation is generally not checked. For tapered bore bearings, the following methods can be used to supplement the rotational flexibility of the bearing. The specific operation is as follows: Press the tapered bore bearing into the mandrel until a certain radial preload is applied. Under this preload, a ferrule When rolling, the rolling elements should be rotated. If the rolling element slides instead of rotating, it means that the ferrule geometry has too many defects or the rolling element size is not uniform, and the rotation flexibility of the bearing is also poor.
